British Sign Language at Huddersfield Town Football Club

 Four of our deaf students and two members of staff went to Huddersfield Town Football Club on Thursday March 7th to teach some of the players British Sign Language (BSL) as part of Sign Language Week. You can see how they got on by following the link below:




We received very positive feedback about the conduct of the students and their teaching skills. They showed great confidence in teaching the players on camera, as did Debbie Edwards, who didn’t know that she was going to be interpreter for the day.  Well done to all!


Our students have now taught sign language in form, in assembly and on camera. This helps to increase their self confidence and raise self esteem. They also really enjoy it.
